Cava Hydraulics was formed in 1991 and Managed by the late Steve Nielsen, a well known and highly respected person in the Hydraulic Industry.
It serviced mainly Mount Isa Mines with only a small workforce of 12 people.
It continued like this until in 2003 Cava Hydraulics was purchased by Mick Tully.
It was in the middle of the downturn of Mount Isa Mines and purchasing Cava Hydraulics at this time was a huge gamble personally for Mick.
It wasn't long before Mount Isa Mines was taken over by Xstrata and the commodities prices boomed.
Cava Hydraulics workforce and workload increased dramatically, with it's employees numbering 45 people.
Originally, Cava Hydraulics was situated at 147 West Street Mt Isa, but with the size of the business getting larger by the day the site became too small.
In 2006 a block of land on the Barkly Highway was purchased.
Soon after an office and a purpose built worskshop were constructed due to the increased demand for Hydraulic Services.
Cava Hydraulics now employees approximately 30 people ranging from Hydraulic Engineers, Hydraulic Fitters, Machinists, Auto Electricans and Office Staff.
Director Mick Tully is very proud of Cava Hydraulics and Auto Electical's staff and business.
